Building Trust with Quality Work

Gavin’s career in Communications and Civil Engineering while serving 28+ years in the Air Force provided him with an opportunity to work around the globe installing communications facilities of all types as well as constructing and maintaining horizontal structures. This coupled with 21+ years working for two telecommunications companies gives him extensive experience working in and around outside plant facilities/utilities.  Having a BSM Degree in Leadership and Management coupled with leadership training and education through the ranks  in the Air Force has proved valuable in holding positions of leadership through the Superintendent level in the Air Force. This advanced  knowledge and experience has allowed him to plan, organize, lead, budget, and control  successful organizations. This education and experience translated into a career with two communications companies, Arvig and USWest/Qwest/CenturyLink. Gavin’s tenure with these organizations  included positions as Splicer, Equipment Operator, Splicing Supervisor, Contract Inspector, Construction Project Administrator, Project Manager and Outside Plant Engineer. Gavin has detailed knowledge and experience with contract execution, quality assurance, and safety standards towards the application of the completed project. 

 Shawn began his career in Telecommunications at Northwest Technical College (M State) earning a diploma in Telephone Service Technology.  After graduation Shawn went to work as a directional drill operator gaining valuable experience, and appreciation for all soil types as he worked on projects from Iowa to California.  Shawn has experience in OSP design and inspection using RUS standards.  Shawn spent 18 years with Qwest/CenturyLink in a wide variety of roles that included Cable Maintenance Technician, Network/Broadband Technician, Repair Consultant, and Supervisor of Network Operations.  Through his 24 years of work experience he has extensive knowledge in OSP construction & design, customer service, safety and leadership.  Shawn is also a graduate of the ACE Leadership program through the Minnesota Technology Association and was awarded to the CenturyLink Circle of Excellence for his commitment to providing exceptional customer service and leadership.
